Church Planting Activities

Eight months after we started Koinonia, the Lord led us to start a church in a traditional community in the suburb of Tamale. A member from this community, also the leader of “warriors” for that community was touched by the burial sermon, and he gave his life to Christ. This man became the bridge to bringing the gospel to that community.

In October 2010, the Lord led us to the new plot area to start another church. We are convinced that in addition to planting churches in the rural villages, God wants to use Koinonia to reach out to two categories of people – the African Traditional adherents who are neglected and the Muslim communities which people are sometimes afraid to enter in. Our evangelistic goal is to plant five churches in these areas with disciple members and well trained leadership in the next ten years. Our need here is transportation to move the evangelism team and equipment for the work.
